TEACH A MAN TO FISH

2018, 82 min

Writer/Director: Grant Saunders.

Teach a Man to Fish is an autobiographical, lyrical, cinematic and comedic documentary, following Grant Saunders emotional journey from Aboriginal filmmaker, writer and musician to fisherman.

“Despite a promising artistic career, I have secretly wanted to be a fisherman, just like my father Ray and my grandfather Horry before him. On the eve of Dad's retirement, I finally convince him to pass on the family trade, leaving my family in Newcastle through the working week to pursue my dream to be a fisherman in my home country on the beautiful Manning River of Taree. It is an opportunity for me to spend time with my father to hopefully salvage a relationship I spoiled sometime ago”. Grant Saunders.
